At La Salle University we promote the skills and values of our students and staff through a comprehensive formation model, so that in addition to being excellent professionals they become successful people, with responsibility, social commitment, and an innovative and entrepreneurial attitude.

We help form principled Professionals of the highest standards..

But how do we do it?

As an institution of higher education, we carry out three functions: teaching, research and extension. In addition we have an adjoining function called administration.

All these functions are coordinated by the institutional identity in order to become a university of Christian inspiration.

These functions are specified in our Educational Model, based on the educational philosophy and the Lasallian mission to promote an integral formation.

Our educational model is made up of four structural elements:

Pedagogical approach

They are the theoretical foundations, to support the tasks of education and at La Salle they are based on a Christian humanistic philosophy and the socio-cognitive pedagogical paradigm.

Relationship with society and knowledge

It is both the link and the impact that La Salle University has upon the local and global environments, and how it contributes to the solution of social needs from the technical, scientific and humanistic formation offered and the promotion of knowledge that it generates.

Educational processes

La Salle recognizes diverse educational processes, including: the teaching and learning processes in which the student is the central character. The central group processes, in performing common tasks and in building university settings, and finally orientation processes which provide for support and mentoring.

Academic Project

La Salle defines and constantly renews the vision and academic development areas and training at the University to maintain at the vanguard.

In order for the four structural elements to be accomplished in everyday activities and to enhance their profiles; there are seven areas of management, considered as operational components that give coherence, strength and direction to the University.

These areas are:

  • Curriculum development and teaching
  • Impact on society
  • Academic Support
  • Generation of Knowledge
  • Community Integration
  • Administrative support
  • Permanence and development

With its educational model, to learn, develop and share, La Salle University is innovative and remains a leader in higher education in the country.

The educational model is the base to form principled Professionals of the highest standards capable of transforming the world.
